hbar

Philosophy.

Our Perspective

hbar begins with two simple truths:

  1. Every human being is different—shaped by the life they live and the meaning they make.
  2. Every human being is social—intertwined with others, with no real way to exist outside of relationships, systems, or society.

From here, everything else follows.

Even if we all live differently, one thing connects us: the search for something more—peace, joy, flow, love, a sense of meaning — happiness. People don't stop wanting these things just because they've been hurt or hardened. Even self-destructive actions often come from longing, not apathy.

But no one finds happiness alone. Our experiences—whether painful or beautiful—are always shaped by others. The way we live together, organize our systems, and build our tools defines what becomes possible for each of us.

That's why I started hbar: to explore how design—of technologies, economies, communities—can support human flourishing. I believe good design starts with awareness: of ourselves, each other, and the world we're shaping.

We aim to create spaces and systems that balance freedom with structure, expression with care, creativity with collective rhythm. Not as some idealistic blueprint—but as an evolving experiment.

We're entering a new chapter. One where it's no longer enough to democratize just our politics—we need to rethink how we work, create, and share. This means building tools and ideas that help people see clearly, think deeply, and act together.

To start, I've built a few small projects:

  • SEE CLEARLY. — A poetic, conceptual lens on where we are and where we might go: toward decentralization, compassion, and consciously-designed systems for the common good.
  • DELPHIY — A community-based learning AI node. A place for questions, dialogue, and experimentation.
  • theburningmind — My personal space for exploring ideas at the edge of society and technology, and sharing what I'm learning along the way.
